"A Conference of Catholic Faith" in conjunction with the Diocese of Westminster

LIVING FAITH DAY CONFERENCE IN PREPARATION FOR THE YEAR OF FAITH

A Year of Faith, beginning in October 2012, has recently been proclaimed by Pope Benedict.  As part of the preparation for this very special time, dedicated to reflecting on the riches of our Catholic Faith, a day conference is being planned.

Open to all, Living Faith 2012 promises to be a stimulating and exciting day for everyone interested in growing in a knowledge and love of our Catholic Faith, and so is suitable for those with a personal interest in their faith development, as well as those involved in various parish ministries and catechesis. 

 

The Living Faith Weekend Conference (planned for Sep 14th – 17th at Heythrop College) has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.  In its place there will be a:

Living Faith Day Conference in Preparation forthe Year of Faith

Open to all.  Suggested donation: £10  (please bring packed lunch)

Paula Jordao

Paula Jordao, a Verbum Dei Sister, has dedicated her missionary life to enable people to meet God in a personal way, so that each one can live out their own mission in the heart of the Church.

 

 

1. CATECHESIS AND THE NEW EVANGELISATION

Formerly Headmaster of Wimbledon College, a large Catholic comprehensive school, Fr Michael Holman was Provincial of the Jesuits in Britain before becoming Principal of Heythrop College, University of London, in January 2012.

 

2. YOUNG PEOPLE AND THE CHALLENGES OF FAITH TODAY

Farrell

Fr John Farrell OP is a Dominican friar and priest, currently the Prior Provincial.  He has taught in four seminaries and on many course for lay pastoral training in Southwark, Westminster and Hexham and Newcastle.  He is involved in retreat work and in service training for priests and religious.
